Although most major search engines allow you to search in more than one language - to get search results in a language besides English - most still search the entire Web. Confining a search to sites hosted in specific countries, or to that country and surrounding regions or other countries which also use the same language, is more likely to provide not just search results, but SITES using some other language.

Of course, language is not the whole story. It may be useful to confine a search in order to learn more about the culture, or about a region in the eyes of the natives as opposed to tourists and others. Following is a series of banners that make it easy to confine your search to a country or those sites in certain languages. The first banner will allow you to translate text - small phrases, up to an entire website.
